Exterior Space

  • The foredeck is enclosed with a continuous stainless steel tube railing that reaches above the knees.  This railing is built into the hull for increased safety.  The railing continues forward to form a bow pulpit, which surrounds the anchoring bowsprit.  The custom designed bowsprit extends forward from a raised platform 1 1/2 feet beyond the bow and houses the windlass which contains two rollers for twin anchors.  This extended overhang allows for the "muddy" anchor to hang safely out of the way when clearing the docks and other boat traffic.

  • Moving aft from the foredeck is accomplished by entering the bridge through the sliding doors and descending to the main cabin to the aft cockpit.  When moving aft with a dock line a 6' rail is provided.  Mid-ship cleats are also furnished as an aid in docking.

  • The aft cockpit has two molded-in seats with lockers beneath that are used as steps when entering from the side walkways.  Access from the main cabin is through a large sliding door.  A hinged transom door allows easy access to the external platform for swimming, diving or dinghy boarding.  The cockpit is roomy enough for fishing.
  • The GlasTech 34 Trawler has a large "out of the way" upper deck with room for an optional mast and a steadying sail rig with a dinghy hoist for an eight foot dinghy  and other equipment.  The deck is enclosed with a stainless steel rail and lifeline.  The entire Aft Cockpit  is covered by the molded fiberglass composite upper deck which provides maximum sun, wind and rain protection.  The cover is supported by stainless steel stanchions providing strength to the upper deck.
